The Foot and Balance Centre was established in 1986 by the current owner and Podiatrist, Joanne Byster-Bowles. Since then it has grown from a small, sole-practitioner business to a larger, multi-practitioner facility that caters for a wide range of needs.
The practice is located on Tugun’s main street, Golden Four Drive, and boasts street and rear access parking areas, ground floor wheel-chair access and toilet facilities. This makes the practice accessible to all.
The practice was purpose built to best suit the needs of a podiatry clinic, now housing three treatment rooms. Each treatment room is equipped for minor surgical procedures such as ingrown nail and wart removal surgery. There is an area in the practice that has been equipped for the manufacturing of custom orthotics and soft inner-soles. We also utilise a treadmill and TOG Gait scanners to help assess a patients gait and pressure patterns.
Our fully equipped sterilisation area also enables the Foot and Balance Centre to maintain the strict Australian standards for instrument cleaning, packaging and sterilisation.
We are also a fully computerised practice, using secured software to collaborate with a patients’ GP and other health practitioners; further ensuring you get the most comprehensive care we can provide.
